What is it useful for?
Family Conflict Coaching can help with:
...and many more family difficulties.
Unresolved conflict within the family can remain unresolved for years, leading to separation between relatives, avoiding contact, tense family gatherings, awkward meetings, sometimes, in extreme cases, verbal abuse and violence.
Conflict Coaching is available via Zoom and so is also available to overseas clients or those unable to make it to London - please request this when you contact us about having Conflict Coaching.
Conflict coaching provides a confidential 'safe space' in which these difficulties can be talked through. It will help you reflect on your responses and help you decide if they are working for you or whether you want to make changes to how you are dealing with the situation.
Your Conflict Coach will help you consider how you are communicating in the situation, how you are responding to the conflict, what you are wanting to achieve, both for yourself and for the situation.
Family conflict coaching is not a 'long term' commitment. You will have up to 3 sessions.
It is not counselling or therapy.
Its sole purpose is to help you find a better way forward.
It is challenging but impartial, confidential and safe.
"I'm writing to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH! for the Conflict Coaching sessions. I found them very helpful. It's helped me to realise though I continue to have difficulties that I can approach and look at them differently. And feel more empowered to face difficult situations." Comment from a client who had conflict coaching.
CAOS Conflict Management also provides mediation for intra-family conflict where there is an interest by 2 or more family members in having support for resolving a family difficulty, relationship breakdown or other unresolved conflict.

"Alan Sharland has written a vital book on bullying. His approach is the way forward. Instead of focusing on 'proving it', which takes us in the direction of investigations and hearings that go no where and only serve to exacerbate an already sensitive situation, he shows the way forward through direct communication and a focus on the behavior that is of concern."
